POSITION SUMMARY:

The Business Development Representative performs a wide range of clerical functions and administrative duties specifically related to the overall office operations related to the Intake of patients that includes, but not limited to areas such as maintaining spreadsheets, filing, answering telephones, faxing. New Patient administrative reviews and other duties and tasks as assigned.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

1. Understand the day to day operations as it relates to the Business Development Process.

2. Ability to define problems and tasks, collect data and establish facts, take action and facilitate resolve.

3. Monitor adherence, of all staff to contractual and government regulatory guidelines.

4. Ensure that professional relations exist with Business Development and Intake staff.

5. Promote teamwork environment.

6. Maintain efficient methods to ensure daily responsibilities are carried out routinely by staff to ensure referrals are processed as quickly as possible.

7. Ability to perform various computer functions, assisting with communication between departments and overall office operations

8. Promote teamwork environment.

9. Must be punctual and ready to work at assigned start time.

10. Able to participate and promote a team environment.

11. Maintain efficient methods to ensure daily responsibilities are carried out routinely.

12. Report major incidents and complete other task assigned by Regional Director of Business Management, VP of Intake & Marketing, Director of Operations and CEO.

13. Implement awareness of the company’s mission, vision, values and goals.

14. Fill in as needed for others in the Department.

15. Answer phones in a professional and in a timely manner.

16. Monitoring patient satisfaction and inform the proper departments of any patient complaints.

17. Respects patient and employee rights and privacy, ensures security of protected information, practices in an ethical manner and is compliant to the agency’s compliance program and privacy policies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Monitor all Patient Enrollments. Help maintain accuracy of all information received by Referral Sources and Contracts.

2. Responsible to assist with expanding the business and establishing point of contacts with existing and potential contracts.

3. Work cooperatively with Directors to maintain compliance with State and Federal Regulation standards.

Formulates and plan programs and events that build relationship between Home Care personnel and patients, as well as position the agency’s services favorably in the home care industry.

Meet or exceed all growth and development targets and actively establish and maintain market awareness, acceptance and allegiance throughout the local service area

6. Directs marketing function for the Agency: develops the plan, prioritize, marketing activities, and delegate’s implementation of the plan

Demonstrates a commitment to maintain a high degree of patient satisfaction and strives to work as a team player with the other departments.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Works in an office environment with regular exposure to staff and patient elements and occasional stress.

COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS: Must work cooperatively with others, and perform a wide variety of complex and complete tasks involving office equipment and machinery.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s Degree or 3 years recent sales experience in the home care industry.

· Three years of general experience required, preferably in health care or related industry required. Supervisory Experience preferred.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, HHA Exchange and Internet

· Excellent leadership and problem solving skills.

· Able to maintain a scheduling system manually and date entry proficiency.

· Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.

· Excellent interpersonal skills.

· Investigative ability, highly organized, self-motivated, takes initiative.

· Understands the regulations governing the home care field, related to Medicare, Medicaid and other insurance.

· Understanding of communicating effectively with employee, patients and their families, medical and community affiliates in order to develop positive relationships.

· Ability to communicate effectively both in the oral and written form.

· Adaptability to pressure.

· Good communication skills.

Agency records, files, documents and reports are the exclusive property of the Agency. Only authorized personnel will have access to clinical/financial/personnel records.

Responsibilities of this job position have clearance for access to the following confidential information:

  • Employee files which include all employee care information, medical orders, assessments, and reassessments.
  • Agency staff with access to computer files holds all information in strictest confidence in the processing, storage and discarding of all data. Only authorized personnel will have access to written and computer data information; Authorized personnel will be assigned passwords/access codes to computer files necessary to conduct their responsibilities. This job requires the accessing and viewing of confidential materials, up to and including.
